今年的艾美奖Emmys的投票进行了很多的改变，再加上由于去年艾美奖的提名候选名单被提前泄露，所以今年的第60届美国电视艺术与科学学院（The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences）决定干脆自己把候选名单直接公布。
以下的各10个年度最佳剧情/喜剧类节目提名候选名单是经过全部电视学院成员投票产生的票数最高的20部剧集，在接下来更为复杂的投票后，最后将选出前五成为今年的艾美奖最佳剧情/喜剧类节目的正式提名，而提名结果将在7月17日正式揭晓。
